ANNUAL FUNDRAISER

Celebrating Gifts of Music Fundraiser 2009

The Department of Fine and Performing Arts, West Hartford Public Schools, hosted the annual Celebrating Gifts of Music Benefit Concert in the Ellen Jeanne Goldfarb Memorial Auditorium at the Intensive Education Academy on October 21, 2009. Attendees were treated to wonderful music in a cabaret setting, with the first act highlighting the accomplishments of young musicians. Performing groups included the West Hartford All-Star Jazz Combo, the All-Star Jazz Band, and I Giovani Solisti (each group combing the talents of Hall and Conard High School musicians), Gifts of Music students, and a Hartt Faculty Piano Trio. The second act featured guest artist John Mastroianni and The Best of Friends playing selections from the American Songbook. Hall High School student vocalist Alita Moses accompanied the group.
